#21 Egeskov Castle
Egeskov Castle is 460 years old and is well preserved.
It was built on a lake having a depth of 5 meters. So, it needed a strong foundation.
It is believed that the whole oak forest was cut down to provide wood for building the foundation of the castle.
It has various beautiful oil paintings inside. The most famous is the one of Niels Juel, a Danish Army Admiral, who won the war against Sweden in 1677.
